TAEC polymer initiator can be used for the market segments: polymer production, polymer crosslinking, thermoset composites and acrylics with their different applications and functions.

It is a tertiary-amyl initiator for use in expandable polystyrene synthesis. The non-aromatic chemistry makes it a good alternative to t-butyl peroxy benzoate for food contact applications. It also yields a very efficient radical that improves monomer conversion, reducing residual styrene and improving graft efficiency.

Keep away from heat sparks and flame. Avoid contamination. Use only with adequate ventilation. Use explosion proof equipment. Keep container closed. Do not reuse container as it may retain hazardous product residue. Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. Wash thoroughly after handling. Detached storage is preferred. Store out of direct sunlight in a cool well-ventilated place. Store away from combustibles and incompatible materials. Refer also to National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) Code 432, Code for the Storage of Organic Peroxide Formulations. To maintain stability and active oxygen content, store below 30 C (86 F ).
