Cap Torque Tester | TMV5

The TMV5 Touchscreen Electronic Torque Tester has been designed to fulfill high specification requirements for the packaging industry. It allows precise control to measure both the opening or closing torque of a twisting closure system, such as a plastic bottle cap.

The TMV5 Touchscreen Electronic Torque Tester is designed with a special mechanical system for measuring torque which cancels most non-coaxial and top load influences on the measurement. These features cancel most operator induced influences (~60%) on the measurement for maximum repeatability. It includes a high speed micro processor (5000Hz). The TMV5 integrates an operator interface with a touchscreen control panel which makes the torque meter simple and efficient to use.

The operator can easily read the torque value on the display and generate bar-graph and dynamic statistics, and product information. Each product’s desired torque values can be memorized with 4 tolerance thresholds.

Torque analysis | Statistics management

TMV5 is built-in high speed touch screen display with statistics and data storage and management. The operator can easily select a product, batch number, and name, and store the data into the memory. Without connecting the torque tester to your pc, you can handle statistics of your torque control. Each testing series can be printed with all necessary information for production monitoring.

The measuring range is 00.00 to 99.99 Kgf.cm in standard mode and up to 4.000 Kgf.cm in high-accuracy mode (useful, for example, in testing lipstick mechanisms).

The bottle and cap torque tester TMV5 is built in France under the CE mark specifications and answers all the necessary request from the food, beverage, cosmetics, pharma and chemistry/metrology industries.

It’s delivered with a calibration certificate COFRAC, ASTM, DKD, NIST, etc. belonging to ILAC (International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation).

Qualitorq Software

AT2E has developed a powerful software application that allows you to perform an in-depth analysis of your production quality. For example, it allows you to follow torque measurements per capping head as well as per cap reference. It also allows the management of double torque testing when you have a product with a secure seal system: Release Torque and Breaking Torque.
